Nintendo Labo: Why the Extra Accessories?

Has anyone ever noticed how Nintendo seems to add accessories to their video game consoles? Ever since the Nintendo 64 with the rumble pack, they have given out accessories that they claim make the experience better. Why do they do this?

Nintendo was founded on September 23, 1889. And it started as a card company, where the business produced and marketed a playing card game called, "Hanafuda". The cards grew in popularity and in between 1956-1974, they found themselves in the Toy industry... It wasn't until 1979, that Nintendo found success in the video game world with the "Game & Watch".

While Nintendo is best known in the Video Game industry. That is far from where they originally started. And these accessories to their game consoles show that they haven't left the toy industry. And while some consumers may find these additions to be annoying, once you understand the roots of Nintendo. You begin to see their reasoning. The Nintendo Labo might be good for the company, as it allows for creativity and it well establishes that Nintendo is in for the fun, while making money as well. So, if you strictly believe that Nintendo is only in the video game business. You're going to be surprised of it's origins and how they refuse to give it up. As Nintendo continues to focus on the toys it produces to provide enjoyment for families and kids. Nintendo, while a major contender in the video game wars, is first and foremost a toy company. And I think Nintendo Labo, and others like it, are proving that to be the case.
