Entrepreneurial Mind - Be Your Own Billboard

In the business world, entrepreneurs have to make all kinds of investments. But there are some investments that some will people don't think about. Let me give you an example: Dress and grooming: Now, I am sure when I say this it may offend some people but consider the rest of this article before dismissing it. If I was trying to make it out in the business world as a motivational speaker. I walk up on stage in a pair of torn-up pants , a dirty "white" shirt, sandals, and my hair is matted and unkempt and I didn't shave for a week. Would that appearance distract you? It may not distract you, but it may show you that you might not want to listen to me. It would be like someone who is struggling with their weight telling you how you should diet. Business owners understand how important image is. And usually, if they don't oblige: They mascot it! You know, like many other companies we know. (Mcdonalds, KFC, Burger King) Now, I am not saying that if you look like a homeless bum that you can't succeed. Success is defined by people differently. But in the world of business, image is still important! Being your own billboard is the principle that shows that you have respect for what you are talking about or promoting. In other words, hygiene and appearance is not optional in these cases. If you are working with people, they will see your attitude about this principle and it can be contagious and it often leads into a sale/deal. Improving your image can include:

1.) Shower (obviously) 2.) Shave or keep facial hair kempt

3.) Practice good posture 4.) Speak confidently and respectfully

5.) Keep hair combed

6.) Dress for the job you want
